      In new construction and retrofit projects involving large-diameter pipelines under the Japanese Standard (JIS) 500A class, valve selection often presents a dilemma: flanged hard-seal valves are heavy, resulting in high hoisting and installation costs, while standard wafer-type soft-seal valves cannot withstand particle erosion and thermal cycling, leading to frequent valve replacements that actually increase total lifecycle costs. This 10K 500A manual worm-gear wafer-type triple-eccentric hard-seal butterfly valve, is manufactured in strict compliance with JIS standards. Featuring a valve body and disc cast entirely from 304 stainless steel, it seamlessly integrates the lightweight wafer-type structure, wear-free triple-eccentric opening and closing, and the long-lasting performance of a metal hard seal. Under medium-pressure, high-flow conditions, it enables more cost-effective installation, longer-lasting sealing, and simpler operation and maintenance, providing a cost-effective fluid control solution for JIS-compliant piping systems.

Product Advantages

    ● Featuring a narrow-body wafer-type clamping structure, the valve body has no redundant flange counterweights and a compact axial dimension, allowing it to be installed directly between two sets of standard JIS 10K flanges. Compared to flanged valves, it requires no on-site welding or modifications to pipeline length. During retrofits of aging pipeline networks, it enables in-situ replacement of old valves without adjusting the pipe positions on either side, significantly reducing downtime for construction.
    ● It utilizes a 304 stainless steel metal-to-metal hard seal pair made of the same material. Both the valve seat and the butterfly disc sealing surfaces are machined as integral parts of the base material, rather than being assembled as inserts, eliminating the risk of seal layer detachment and crevice corrosion, and significantly enhancing structural reliability.
    ● The worm gear mechanism features built-in mechanical self-locking capability, reliably locking the butterfly disc in place at any opening position. Even when subjected to water hammer impacts and pressure fluctuations—common in high-flow pipelines—the butterfly disc will not be forced open or displaced by the medium, ensuring stable and controllable precision in flow control and shut-off.
