    The 5A super duplex steel offers exceptional resistance to chloride ion corrosion, with a PREN value exceeding 40. It exhibits extremely high resistance to chloride-induced pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking, and can operate stably over the long term in chloride-containing media at temperatures exceeding 40°C—a performance that ordinary duplex stainless steels (such as 4A) cannot match. Superior Mechanical Strength: Tensile strength ≥ 690 MPa and yield strength ≥ 515 MPa, which is nearly double that of 304 or 316 stainless steel. Under the same pressure rating, valve wall thickness can be reduced, resulting in a lighter overall weight and lower material costs. 

Product Advantages

  ●The sealing surface features a 5A duplex steel substrate overlaid with Stellite or other hard alloys, combining the base material’s corrosion resistance with the overlay layer’s high hardness and wear resistance, enabling it to withstand high-velocity media erosion containing solid particles. The flange bolts on both sides of the lug-type butterfly valve are installed independently; the valve body and sealing surfaces are not subjected to excessive compression from through-bolts, which helps extend the service life of the sealing pair. Additionally, the shorter bolts used in the lug design exhibit minimal creep, thereby reducing the risk of leakage. The double-offset design ensures that the disc rapidly disengages from the seat the moment the valve opens, resulting in virtually no sliding friction or scraping between the metal sealing surfaces during opening and closing, which significantly extends the service life of the seat.
